Youth radio reports on non-dairy milk labelling stir

Youth radio station SYN recently looked at moves by the dairy industry to ban the term 'milk' for plant based milk products and responses from the vegan community. In an item titled Non-dairy milk products stir proposed change to milk labelling, Panorama reporter Kasia Kosidlo spoke to Dairy Connect and Vegan Australia to find out more about the issue.

    Have the label explain how it takes 660 gallons of water to produce 1 gallon of milk, also explain that when your drinking milk your also drinking puss, antibiotics and growth hormones. Explain how the cattle industry as a whole produces more greenhouse gasses than all the transport put together and that drinking milk is actually bad for your bones increases the chance of getting prostrate or breast cancer and 90% of the crops in Australia are used to feed the cattle industry
