How the food we eat can improve mood, mental health, memory and cognitive performance. Benjamin Franklin was famous for saying that vegetarian diets result in "greater clearness of head and quicker comprehension." Today many studies have shown that consuming animal foods leads to a decrease in mental capacity. The IQ of vegetarian children was found in some studies to be about 16 points above average while the vegan kids appeared to be the smartest of all. A recent study of Florida CEO's eating seafood as little as only 4 times a month still showed a noticeable decline in cognitive performance. Fish consumption among pregnant mothers has been shown to have negative effects on the brain development of the child. Eating tuna while pregnant was found to reduce IQ points by 8 on average.
