Who doesn't love a good spud? Carby and comforting, whether mashed, roasted or chip-ed. There's just no denying the humble potato holds a special place in the hearts (and stomachs) of many. But of late the poor tate has been maligned as a nutritional dud. Boring and daggy, it seems to have lost its spunk in the world of food.
