CAFNEC and the Cairns Climate Action Network (CCAN) are organising a fantastic event for Cairns to take part in the global People's Climate Movement in the lead-up to the UN Paris climate talks in November. We'll be gathering at Cairns Esplanade, Western Lawn next to the Lagoon, Sat 28 Nov at 9am. We'll march along the Esplanade to the Marina, highlighting the impacts of climate change on the Great Barrier Reef and our local tourism industry. We'll then march back to the Lagoon for your chance to jump in and take part in a creative photo stunt - submerged, fully clothed, to illustrate sea level rise! And to cool off...
